Sustainable heating system installation

This project involved designing and installing a new heating system with a focus on creating a greener, future-proof solution for the client’s property. Our initial brief was to explore environmentally sustainable options that would enhance long-term resilience.

The process revealed significant challenges, as we reviewed a wide range of technologies—including biomass boilers, heat source pumps, electric heating and HVO systems. We were taken aback by the cost, regulatory restrictions and supply limitations associated with these options.

Despite the initial consideration of biomass due to its strong green credentials, the high costs ultimately made it unviable.

After thorough evaluation, the client opted for an LPG system, which, while more practical, still posed restrictions regarding proximity to the building. We diligently sourced the most economical solution that balanced green credentials with feasibility ensuring the system aligned with current sustainability goals within practical constraints.

The chosen LPG system provides an efficient, adaptable and compliant heating solution meeting the client’s desire for a greener approach while acknowledging current limitations and costs.
